DOEURNG CHHUN EANG
Founder and Headmaster
Chhun Eang has a varied background in the field of education. In 2011, he was employed in the private school sector where he taught English, and functioned as an Academic Officer. In 2014 he was awarded a Bachelor's Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC). His academic and administrative experience has given him a broad range of understanding, not only concerning school curriculum, but also in the areas of supervision, training, collaboration and human resources. His approach towards education is a balance between fairness, flexibility, innovation and teamwork. In 2016, the team nominated and voted him to become the first Director for The Village of English School.
SRENG SAREN
Founder and Computer Teacher
Saren has a Computer Science background from University of Puthisastra (U.P), but has a passion for rural education and social work. He has several years experience interacting with NGOs, which has driven him towards contributing back to his community. His goals are aimed at reducing the education gap between those who live in the countryside, and those who live in the city. He believes that The Village of English School is one place where that situation can be addressed.
BO SOMNANG
Founder and Teacher of English
Samnang has a Bachelor’s Degree of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC). Since an early age, he has been interested in dedicating his life to teaching, which he pursued at the university after graduating from high school. Samnang believes that education is a powerful means to improve the lives of Cambodian children and will help the country develop as well. Samnang is deeply enthusiastic in sharing his knowledge with the next generation, and he demonstrates this by teaching many classes at different levels. Samnang has been a volunteer teacher for a Non-Government Organization (NGO), and is involved in community outreach programs and groups.
YON LEANGSRUN
Founder and Administrator
Srun has a Bachelor's Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC). He has been involved in private schools for sometime, and believes he can incorporate technology and his experience, to enhance his teaching skills.
Choun Sreytoch
Teacher of English
With a loving and caring heart towards children, Sreytoch made her way to the Village of English School (VOE), despite her advanced background in agricultural studies. Her passionate style of teaching translates into a fun and enjoyable classroom environment.
OHM SOMOL
Teacher of English
Somol graduated from Human Resources University, with a major in Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Languages.(TESOL). He has five years teaching experience, beginning in 2012 with a private school in Phnom Penh. Somol chose this profession because it enables him to share his education, brighten the future and to help the children and the country in his journey through life. He is a valued and dedicated Teacher at the Village of English School. His performance is a combination of dedication, respect, love and hope. His mantra is that, "A thousand candles can be lighted by a single flame".
CHHEUY PANITH
Teacher of English
Panith has a Bachelor's Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages( TESOL ). He graduated from Human Resources University ( HRU), Phnom Penh. He has a passion about teaching English, and he believes that it is an important way to improve education in Cambodia, thereby making its citizens more competive in the world job market. Panith has been teaching English since he was a fresman at the university, and he wants to share his knowledge with the next generation. He is a great asset to the team of teachers at the Village of English School, and he believes all things are possible.
